Eight-week exercise and wellness program for cancer survivors

The UWM College of Health Sciences’ Doctor of Physical Therapy students are facilitating an eight-week exercise and wellness program for cancer survivors – in or out of active treatment – who are suffering from the adverse effects of cancer treatment.

UWM conference attracts national and local women leaders

The School of Continuing Education is hosting the ninth annual Women Leaders Conference on Friday, March 2 from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Keynote speakers are Tammy Tibbetts, social entrepreneur and founder of education nonprofit She’s the First, and Sonia Manzano, an actress and author well known for her role as Maria on “Sesame Street.”

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

There will be a viewing of “America The Beautiful” followed by a discussion panel with professionals. Free eating disorder screenings, T-shirt decorating and pizza will be provided.

America Saves Week

America Saves Week is a national campaign that helps employees save money and build personal wealth. From Feb. 26 through March 3, UW System Tax-Sheltered Annuity 403(b) providers and UW Credit Union are offering workshops, credit checkups and counseling sessions at UWM.
