UWM is teaming up with Milwaukee Brewers radio announcers Jeff Levering and Lane Grindle for a preseason baseball talk on Feb. 8. The event will be in the Union Ballroom West from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public.
The announcers will highlight the Brewers’ offseason acquisitions, preview the 2017 season and answer audience questions. The first 100 people who attend the Hot Stove event will receive certificates good for two tickets to select Brewers games. There also will be prizes and free snacks.
Levering and Grindle will also discuss UWM’s upcoming baseball season with head coach Scott Doffek. The Panthers are led by reigning Horizon League Player of the Year Daulton Varsho.
The Brewers kick off their spring training schedule against UWM on Feb. 24 at Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix. The Panthers will play one regular season game at Miller Park against Oakland University on April 30.
