Dec. 10, Innovations from UW-Milwaukee labs on display

Four examples of research innovation from the UW-Milwaukee will be highlighted during a “First Look” forum within the Thursday, Dec. 10, evening meeting of the Wisconsin Innovation Network’s Milwaukee chapter in Wauwatosa.

Modeled after the Wisconsin Technology Council’s eight-year-old “First Look Forum” imbedded in its major conferences, the event is a showcase for emerging technologies – often before the featured inventors launch companies or crack into the marketplace.

It’s an opportunity for community members to learn more about the work taking place at UW-Milwaukee, as well as a chance for UWM researchers to get feedback from business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs on how to guide these technologies to market.

The event will take place at UW-Milwaukee’s Innovation Accelerator, 1225 Discovery Parkway. Registration, networking and hors d’oeuvres start at 4:30 p.m., with presentations beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for students, $25 for WIN members and Milwaukee County Research Park tenants, $35 for non-members and included for WIN corporate members.

Register for the event.
