2016 Tinker Field Research Awards

The UWM Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS), in partnership with the UWM Master in Sustainable Peacebuilding Program (MSP), is pleased to announce 2016 Tinker Field Research Awards, with funding from the Tinker Foundation and J.M. Kohler Foundation.

Tinker Field Research Awards support pre-dissertation graduate field research in Latin America and the Caribbean (defined by the Tinker Foundation as Portuguese- or Spanish-speaking). All students from UWM, in any discipline, are eligible to apply for an award. Interdisciplinary projects as well as collaborative research are welcome. These awards are designed to support short-term field research, lasting as little as two weeks and as long as four months. Students must be continuing in a degree program after completion of field research.
