The UWM Libraries Media Viewing Room is available in the Media and Reserve Library, lower level, west wing, room WB12. The room is intended for use by groups of two (2) to twenty (20) who need to use the media equipment in the room. The media viewing room is not available as a general use classroom and cannot be used for regular class meetings. Use of the media viewing room is for educational purposes only.
The room is available to those who are eligible to check out materials from the Media and Reserve Library. (i.e. UWM students, faculty and staff, UW-System borrowers, and Friends of the Library.) You must present your valid ID/borrowing card when using the room. The room may be reserved or used on a walk-in basis for up to four (4) hours at a time if not reserved by anyone in advance.
Equipment available in the room includes a 55“ LCD monitor with DVD, Blu-Ray, International DVD and VHS player.
The room can be reserved in advance through the online booking form at http://uwm.edu/libraries/forms/viewing/ or by calling 414-229-4673. ** Note that a group that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits their reservation if others are waiting.**
Users are responsible for the condition of the room and equipment. As with all library resources, Media Viewing Room users must comply with the UWM Libraries User Rights and Responsibilities.
Users should be considerate of others studying in areas adjacent to the Media Viewing Room and maintain a reasonable volume level. Food and beverages are permitted in the Media Viewing Room – Please Leave No Trace. The Media and Reserve Library retains the right to alter the schedule, supersede availability or close the room without notice.
