Collection and Resource Management Division Information and Services

Recommend an item for purchase

There are three ways to recommend an item for purchase:

  1. Fill out the web purchase recommendation form
  2. Send an email to libacq@uwm.edu with as much information about the item (title, author, publisher, ISBN/ISSN, etc.) as possible
  3. Send publisher’s catalog or other print announcement by campus mail to: Janet Padway, GML W230, or send an email to libacq@uwm.edu.

If you would like to be notified when the material arrives, please include a note with your request, regardless of how the request is submitted. Be sure to include your name and contact information. One option is to include a note in the notes field of the purchase recommendation form (see above).

Request to be notified when an ordered item is received

Faculty and staff may want to be notified when an item they recommended for purchase has been received in the libraries, either for research they are involved with, or for a course they are currently teaching or preparing to teach.

If you would like to be notified when the material arrives, please include a note with your request, regardless of how the request is submitted. Be sure to include your name and contact information. One option is to include a note in the notes field of the purchase recommendation form.
