Charge

The committee is charged with making recommendations related to current and proposed policies and practices that affect LGBTQ+ employees and students. It collaborates with campus groups and offices to increase awareness of these topics. The committee meets monthly and reports to the Chancellor.

How to Join

UWM employees may indicate their interest in joining the committee on the committee preference sheets, which are distributed annually by the Office of the Secretary of the University, or by contacting that office directly.

UWM students may be appointed via the Student Association Shared Governance process. You can fill out an application available online at the Student Association Web site.
