Hi! My name is Dao Vang. I received my undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and have been a graduate student in economics at UWM for many years. While a graduate student, I was actively involved with the Hmong Student Association at UWM and became its president during the 1990-91 school year. Prior to working as program coordinator for the Southeast Asian Student Academic Services program, I worked as an advisor at UWM. I also have worked as an economics instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College for three years. Being a former fellow student at UWM for many years, I feel connected to the students and I am very familiar with the campus resources. I also have extensive connections with the Southeast Asian communities in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. In addition to working, my favorite pastimes are reading, jogging, playing volleyball and pool.
