Several faculty and staff members of world language and culture programs were honored at UWM’s 2015 Fall Awards Ceremony on October 20, 2015:

• Nicole Palasz, senior administrative program specialist at the Institute for World Affairs in the Center for International Education, received the UWM Academic Staff Outstanding Performance and Service Award.
• Joseph Peschio, associate professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, received the Research in the Humanities Award.
• Dr. Rachel Skalitzky, associate professor emerita of Comparative Literature and former chair of the Department of French, Italian, and Comparative Literature, was posthumously named an Earnest Spaights Plaza Honoree.
