Thanks to the tireless efforts of Professor Sarah Davies Cordova (French), on January 30, 2016 former French Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira received an honorary degree from UWM. She was nominated for an honorary doctorate of laws and human rights by the UWM Department of French, Italian and Comparative Literature.
