Introduction

UWM is proud to announce that it will provide professional development opportunities for all employees, including training specifically for supervisors, during the 2017-18 academic year. All of the sessions will be held in the UWM Gold Meir Library, Fourth Floor Conference Center, except for the November 15th session, which will be held in the Wisconsin Room of the Student Union.

Please Note: Due to high demand, all of the professional development courses, both for employees and supervisors, are nearing enrollment capacity. You will be added to a waitlist if a course is full.

Courses for Employees

Each of the courses for employees has a capacity of 40 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation in the seminars is on a voluntary basis, with supervisory approval.
Employees should discuss any training plans and dates with their supervisor to ensure there is adequate coverage. To the extent that it is possible and practical, supervisors are encouraged to allow their staff to participate in professional development opportunities.
