The College of Health Sciences (CHS) gathers numerous allied health professions under one roof, including physical therapy, athletic training, speech-language pathology, health informatics and administration, occupational therapy, sonography, and the biomedical sciences. CHS uses a unique inter-professional learning model, which prepares students to become patient-focused, team-oriented, community-serving professionals.
CHS has a tremendous impact on health and wellness statewide. We educate more than 62% of Wisconsin’s health care providers. The changing landscape of health care in the US places the College’s 27 degree and certificate programs in high demand, and 100% of our graduates are hired and practicing professionally in more than 200 careers.
What to Support
The College of Health Sciences calls upon alumni and individuals concerned about the health of the community to join us and help train the next generation of health care professionals. Here are some ways you can help:
Scholarships help students devote more time to studying, internships, and research. They enable students to graduate on time and launch their careers with a lower debt burden. Please support our general College of Health Sciences Scholarship Fund or consider establishing your own scholarship fund.
Hands-on instruction is essential for CHS students to excel in their chosen fields. State-of-the-art equipment is a vital part of this instruction, in the classroom, research labs, and clinics where students refine their skills as future health care providers. Examples include bio-feedback units, therapeutic robots, mind-body training stations, and speech analysis programs.
Endowed Chair for Health and Wellness
This endowed chair will be the capstone of the College’s commitment to inter-professional education. The professor appointed to this position will be charged with ensuring that our graduates are ready to work in the ever-changing health care environment and be leaders in managing the many new care delivery systems.

UWM benefits by selling the stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you benefit from knowing that your contribution is larger than it would have been as a cash gift.
Please send (or ask your broker to send) the UWM stock gift form to the UWM Foundation prior to transferring the securities, to make sure you receive proper acknowledgement for your gift.
