Our Campaign Priorities:

  • icon

    Student Success

Scholarships are a key priority of this campaign, and our goal is to strengthen our students assistance and bring our school’s scholarship support in line with the national average. Scholarships provide critical support for those in need and help us attract and retain promising scholars. Internships and professional mentoring opportunities give students real-world insight and experience.

    Research Excellence

Support for research is critical to maintaining our high rankings. Professorships help us retain our excellent instructors and attract new scholars to our faculty. Faculty fellowships are awarded to promising faculty members or guests lecturers for a designated period of time. By offering student assistantships, UWM can stay competitive for students choosing among several offers.

    Community Engagement

Our award-winning App Brewery provides solutions for the Milwaukee community in the form of mobile applications, while Nonprof-IT offers tech support to local organizations. Support for these partnerships helps strengthen UWM’s relationship with the surrounding community. Study abroad funds provide students with an intimate look at the global information economy and an opportunity for personal growth.

The School of Information Studies has a wonderful degree program focused on helping bright minds find their passion within the information sciences. Through our Misix Scholarship, we are helping UWM provide Milwaukee and the world with some very talented IT professionals and leaders.
