International Bog Day at the Cedarburg Bog

International Bog Day is an event which began in Scotland in 1997. Since then it has been celebrated annually by every country with bogs in the northern hemisphere on the fourth Sunday of July. Our event on Sunday, July 23, 2017 is free and open to the public. The day’s events include a bird walk, a drone tour of the Bog, a live Owl and Hawk presentation, refreshments, entertainment, and bog walks and talks with noted experts on the flora and fauna of this wetland.

6:30-8:00 am Bird Walk and talk
12:00-4:00 pm Music, refreshments, face painting, drawings
1:00 pm “Into the Bog” drone tour
2:00 pm Live Owls & Hawks presentation
3:00 pm Bog walks & talks
