Kendra Heidkamp-Young

 Curtin Hall 688

Degree: MA, Reading

Kendra has taught at UWM since 2006. She worked for the Milwaukee Public Schools for four years prior to coming to UWM. During her time as a first and third grade teacher, she discovered how much she enjoyed teaching people reading skills. This led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Reading. The things that Kendra enjoys most in life are her family, her two dogs, being around little children and teaching people of all ages how to read. She loves to learn new things through listening to radio programs and watching documentaries and hopes to try her hand at patio gardening this summer.
