Jamie joined the Office of Equity/Diversity Services in December 2015, and was appointed as the Director of EDS in July 2018. As the Director of EDS, Jamie is responsible for the development and implementation of UWM’s Affirmative Action Plan, and for overseeing the investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination made by UWM faculty, staff, and students. In addition, Jamie serves as UWM's Title IX Coordinator, overseeing investigation and disposition of Title IX/sexual misconduct complaints and Title IX training for the UWM community.

Before joining UWM, Jamie was employed as an assistant public defender in the Milwaukee Trial office of the State Public Defender; prior to that, Jamie practiced general litigation as an associate attorney in a two-person Milwaukee law firm. He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2003, and received his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2006.
