The English Department is sad to report the passing of a distinguished alumnus of our graduate program: Jon Erickson (Ph.D., Modern Studies, 1990).  Jon was an Associate Professor of English and Comparative Studies at Ohio State University.

An accomplished critic and performance artist, his publications included The Fate of the Object: From Modern Object to Postmodern Sign in Performance, Art, and Poetry (Univ. of Michigan Press, 1995).  The department passes along its sincere condolences to his family and friends.
