The annual Best of the Undergraduate Writers is established to recognize and celebrate Milwaukee-area undergraduate creative writing students who have produced exceptional work this semester.

UWM students Ashanti Anderson, Matthew Farr, Amber Scarborough, and Valerie Vinyard join Marquette students Krystin Kantenwein, Sarah Smith, and Michael Welch to read selections of their own poetry and fiction.

This event is on Friday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at Boswell Books (2559 N. Downer Ave.).
