Volunteers Needed for FIRST Tech

The College of Engineering & Applied Science will again host Wisconsin’s FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) state championship Feb. 9 and 10 and is looking for volunteers from the engineering community.

FTC is a national science and technology challenge in which students in grades 7-12 compete head to head. Teams design, build and program robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. FTC helps students discover the rewards of collaboration and develop a deeper understanding of innovation and engineering.

To get involved, contact Juli Pickering, Director of Career Services, at jlpicker@uwm.edu or 414-229-3208. FIRST Tech requires all volunteers to register; click here to register.
