A record 91 companies recruited engineers and computer scientists at the College of Engineering & Applied Science’s Spring Industry Expo on March 1.
This marks the second consecutive year that employer attendance at the expo increased, reflecting continued strong demand for computer scientists and engineers. That area of the job market is expected to grow at least through 2024, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
“I consistently receive feedback from industry that they seek out our students for their abilities coupled with their strong work ethic. It’s an unbeatable combination,” said Juli Pickering, Director of Career Services at the college.
Participating companies included: Rockwell Automation, Foxconn, Komatsu Mining Corp., GRAEF, HUSCO International, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Milwaukee Tool, Modine Manufacturing Company and American Transmission Co.
