Alumnus Satya Nadella’s Book Released This Week

Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a better Future for Everyone,” by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, ’90 MS Computer Science, was released Sept. 26 by HarperCollins Publishers. Click here for an excerpt from the book.

Media coverage for Nadella and his book is already extensive and includes:

Washington Post; The New York Times; NPR; and Fast Company magazine.

UWM is noted by the Wall Street Journal (which requires a subscription). The article states: “Nadella immigrated to the United States in 1988, on his 21st birthday, to pursue a master’s in computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.”

HarperCollins’ website also notes Nadella’s computer science education at UWM, stating: “Nadella… holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mangalore University, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.”
