Prof. Neumann & Gov. Walker

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker honored Professor Rebecca Neumann with a 2016 Governor’s Financial Literacy Legacy Award. In his press release Walker noted that she and the other winners “made a significant impact on citizens of all ages across the state by helping to enhance their personal financial knowledge and skills.”

The Legacy Award reflects Neumann’s sustained success in increasing financial literacy and capability. In its synopsis the Governor’s Financial Literacy Council noted that “Neumann champions and advocates for personal financial literacy and has built a reputation as the go-to person on campus. Originally developing the innovative Economics of Personal Finance class a decade ago, she relentlessly pushes for its growth and availability.”
