The Roy Arthur Swanson Merit Scholarship in Comparative Literature may be awarded to a UWM student with a declared Comparative Literature major or minor, and a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher in Comparative Literature courses. The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) offers undergraduate Foreign Language and Area Studies fellowships to students who are learning Portuguese. They also offer multiple small scholarships and travel awards to advanced undergraduates and graduate students at UWM for either field research or study abroad work in Latin America or the Caribbean.
