Graduate students from the Department of Communication were busy this month completing dissertations, attending conferences, and running marathons!

Ruth J. Beerman successfully defended her dissertation entitled, “Containing Fatness: Bodies, Motherhood, and Civic Identity in Contemporary U.S. Culture” on January 14, 2015. Congratulations to Dr. Beerman!

Doctoral students Rachel Davidson, Kiran Dhillon, Josh Miller, and Tom Salek attended the Rhetoric Midwest Winter Workshop at Northwestern University on January 31, 2015.

Megan Lambertz-Berndt completed her first marathon, the Phoenix Rock n Roll Marathon, with a time of 3:40:00.  Congratulations Megan!
