The John R. Johnson Award recognizes and supports undergraduate Communication students. To apply, a student must:

• be a declared undergraduate Communication major at UWM
• have a minimum of one complete semester of enrollment remaining before graduation
• have completed a minimum of 30 college credits with at least 20 credits in Communication
• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• go to the UWM scholarship portal to start a profile and apply for funding

Selection criteria for this research award are based upon:

• academic merit
• financial need

The application cycle for this scholarship generally occurs once per year in November.
