This document explains the operations and regulations governing the MA Program in Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It should be thoroughly read and frequently consulted by all program students.
In developing the program requirements, the faculty has attempted to provide a curricular structure that allows for both specialized and broadly based programs of study. All students are encouraged to seek the advice of faculty advisors in developing study plans and discussing opportunities for effectively using the resources of the graduate program.

The requirements outlined in the Handbook apply to all students entering the program since the Fall of 2022. Students who entered the program prior to August 1st of 2022 should consult earlier versions of the Handbook.
