Katelyn graduated from Marquette with her Master’s in International Affairs in spring 2015. She was granted a Pickering Fellowship, which paid for her degree and secured her a spot in the Foreign Service in fall 2015. As part of her fellowship requirements, in the summer of 2015 she interned in the Crisis Management section of the Secretary of State ‘s office, then interned at the embassy in New Delhi. Upon returning to the states she moved to Washington DC to begin training for her first real assignment. She is, of course, hoping to spend time in Latin America. Katelyn wrote: “My experience at UWM provided a great foundation for me and helped me get where I am.”
