Study Abroad Office
The CIE Study Abroad Office operates and supports all outbound programs for UWM students. With over 170 different destinations and close to 600 students participating annually, there are numerous opportunities to intern within the office. The field of education abroad parallels a lot of what takes place across the institution, and an internship can focus on general knowledge of the field or on a specific project. If you are interested in an internship with the CIE Study Abroad Office please contact Mark Eckman, email@example.com
Institute of World Affairs Internships
The Institute of World Affairs (IWA) is the outreach extension of the Center for International Education. IWA collaborates and partners with a wide range of campus and community individuals, departments, and organizations to provide engaging global programs and services for the campus and public and for K-12 international education outreach. If you are interested in an internship with IWA please contact Dina Wolf, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Office of International Student and Scholar Services
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) works with incoming students – both degree-seeking, and non-degree, and provides application support and processing, as well as immigration advising. In addition to working with students in these areas, ISSS also works with incoming international scholars and faculty to assist with their immigration and visa paperwork. If you are interested in an internship with ISSS please contact Jennifer Gruenewald, email@example.com
Academic Internships Abroad
Students interested in international internships should reference the resources provided by CIE Academic Programs. While international internships are required for Global Studies BA degree students and encouraged for International Studies majors, international internships are valuable for all students to enhance their academic experience and future employment prospects.
Your gift will help shape the future of our university and make a significant impact in our region. There has never been a better time to be part of UWM!
