November 3, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Oil and Water do Mix:
How Oil Droplets Disperse in the Sea
Presented by:
Rudi Strickler & Ai Nihongi, Fresh Water Sciences
Fridays: November 3, 10, 17 and 24 at 7pm
Sunday: November 12 at 2 p.m.
On April 20th, 2010, the Deep Water Horizon explosion happened. Subsequently, the scientific community was asked to research not only possible damages this event introduced, but also how one can prevent them in the future. We will discuss the different approaches and results teams of researchers (including some working at UWM!) achieved.
In addition to the discussion, the younger visitors will be engaged in hands-on activities giving them an appreciation for life in the water.
Free and open to the public!

Science Bag is held in the UWM Physics Building, Room 137, located at 1900 E. Kenwood Blvd. (the corner of Kenwood and N. Cramer St.).
