Founding Director, Supply Chain Management Institute
In early 2017, SCMI researchers published a study that reveals supply chain’s growing significance in corporate strategy. Our students have had the opportunity to learn from many of our member companies both inside and outside of the classroom this year. Executives of Principal Financial spoke with supply chain students about personal financial planning in February and hosted 20 students at their Des Moines, Iowa headquarters in March. RGL Logistics partnered with Lecturer Mark Kosfeld on an in-class project focused on creating more efficient truck routes to save costs. Many other member companies have engaged with students this year through guest lectures, mock interviews, resume reviews, and mentoring. To learn how we may be able to help your company, please visit our Corporate Partners page. We’ve pulled together some recent supply chain articles on big data, agility, drones, supply chain trends and Gartner’s Top 25 Supply Chains for 2016 which you may find interesting. We also maintain links to some excellent supply chain resources.
