Dr. Tegeler specializes in financial accounting and auditing. Her research examines the influence of regulation on auditor behavior and audit quality using judgment and decision-making methods and experimental economics.

Dr. Tegeler teaches advance financial accounting. She previously worked as a senior manager in the audit practice at KPMG LLP in McLean, VA.

Dr. Tegeler is a member of the American Accounting Association and a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
