The Lubar Executive MBA is more than a degree program – it is an educational experience that will broaden your perspectives and your potential. Here are just some of the qualities that make our program distinctive:

Direct Application: Integrative Management Project

A key feature of the Lubar EMBA is the opportunity to work with a team of your classmates on a real-world, applied project, under the guidance of an EMBA faculty member. This integrative project will tie together the thematic clusters and provide you with rich opportunities to collaborate and consult on strategic projects with our partner companies and non-profit organizations. Each team will set clear expectations and project goals, implement a plan, assess the results, and report outcomes and recommendations to the organization and the class.

Experienced Executive Faculty

Lubar Executive MBA students are engaged and challenged in the classroom by Lubar faculty with extensive experience with executive audiences. Top scholars in their fields, our EMBA faculty are adept at drawing out the managerial experiences and expertise of classmates to provide more depth and texture to classroom discussions.

High Level Peer Learning

Imagine being surrounded by a cohort of students who – like you – are at an exciting juncture in their careers and are highly motivated to become better managers and leaders. Your executive classmates will share expertise and insights from diverse industries and functional areas, helping make you a more well-rounded and effective manager. Many Lubar EMBA graduates cite the level of peer learning and the long-term professional relationships they develop as key attributes in their Lubar EMBA experience.

International Residency

The EMBA International Residency provides you with the opportunity to explore international management issues through a ten-day study trip that features meetings with management teams of overseas companies and focused seminars related to international management topics. It also includes an introduction to business practices and cultural offerings of the countries on your itinerary. Recent residencies have taken students to Brazil, Vietnam, Kuala Lampur, China, South  Korea and Hong Kong.

Forefront Speaker Series

In the Forefront Speaker Series, C-level executives speak candidly to EMBA students about their leadership philosophies and practices. Recent speakers include: Todd Teske, Chairman, President & CEO of Briggs & Stratton; Michael Gifford, President & CEO, AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin; Jacquelyn Fredrick, President & CEO, BloodCenter of Wisconsin; Karl Eberle, Senior VP of Manufacturing, Harley-Davidson; Henry Knueppel, Chairman of the Board, Regal-Beloit Corporation.
