String Academy of Wisconsin Scholarship Benefit Concert

The String Academy of Wisconsin’s twenty-eighth annual Scholarship Benefit Concert will take place on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 PM in the UWM Peck School of the Arts Recital Hall.
The concert will include performances by various violin and cello groups from the String Academy as well as student soloists. A post-concert reception will allow audience members to meet the performers while enjoying light refreshments. All proceeds from this event will benefit the String Academy Scholarship Fund, which helps to provide high quality music instruction for talented students who might not otherwise have the financial means to study.The String Academy of Wisconsin, now in its twenty-eighth year at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has become one of the region’s finest music programs for youth. String Academy students frequently win local and regional competitions, and serve leadership roles in their school and community orchestras. Every summer string teachers from across the country gather on the UWM campus to study pedagogical techniques with members of the String Academy faculty.
