Colors, lines, symbols, and characters unfurl and transform through uncharted worlds. From shapes that dance like visual poetry to collages of mystical metamorphosing images, this selection groups fantastic frame-by-frame animations of diverse and inventive techniques.

The From The Archives series invites Graduate Students from the UWM Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres to collaborate with the Department’s Archive to curate an evening for Experimental Tuesdays. Much thanks to the Department’s Archive Director Kati Katchever for her help in unvaulting the prints and readying them for screening.
Experimental Tuesdays at the Union Cinema is a free series unspooling on most Tuesdays throughout the semester that shares contemporary and canonical experimental media. Presented by the UWM Union Cinema and the UWM Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres.
