Biography

After receiving her Masters in Music with an emphasis in Pedagogy, Guitar Performance and Orchestral Conducting in her native Ukraine, Irina Yanovskaya began teaching guitar in prominent music schools in Kyiv. After moving to Milwaukee in 1996, she taught private and ensemble classes for children and adults of all ages. She is a certified Suzuki instructor, registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas since 2011. Irina continues to be an active performer and member of the “Serenata” duo with a mandolin virtuoso Misha Litvin. Her passion and love for classical guitar along with refined teaching skills ensures a positive learning experience for her students.

Irina Yanovskaya is a co-founder of the Milwaukee Classical Guitar Society. She is a director of the Milwaukee Classical Guitar Society orchestra.
