L&S Research Requirement

The College of Letters & Science has a research requirement for all majors. By completing this requirement, you demonstrate to employers and graduate programs that you have the ability to complete an independent project, identify an unmet need or frame a question or hypotheses, and take action to find solutions and answers.

No matter what your career path, the ability to communicate your results both orally and in written format is essential. As part of the research requirement, you will present your findings to others.

Art History Majors must complete the following to satisfy the L&S research requirement:

ARTHIST 501: Colloquium in Method and Theory (3 credits)
