Prof. Derek B. Counts was recently awarded a $100,000.00 grant from UWM’s Research Growth Initiative program.

Derek Counts received a Center for International Education/Office of Undergraduate Research Grant to support travel for Kayla Olson (UWM undergraduate) and himself to study and document excavated material from Counts’s archaeological site of Athienou-Malloura in Cyprus.

Professor Derek Counts is Associate Director of the Athienou Archaeological Project again this summer in Athienou, Cyprus.
