Graduate student Rachel McTavish was awarded a $5,000 Kohler Foundation Ruth Cohen Memorial Award to conduct isotope research on animal bone from sites excavated by UWM Archaeological Field School students at Lake Koshkonong, Wisconsin.

Rachel also received a $,1500 International Council on Archaeozoology travel grant to present results of her research at the Archaeomalacology Working Group in the Orkney Islands, Scotland.
