Help discover the next generation of panthers
The Alumni Ambassador Program engages well-trained, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic alumni as active participants in the university’s recruitment efforts. There are opportunities for both local and national alumni to provide volunteer service on behalf of the university.
By participating in recruitment events like college fairs and on-campus visit programs, you can share your UWM experience with prospective students and their families. Your personal success stories and firsthand experiences provide an individual connection to students, making a significant impact as they explore their college options.
Ambassadors have the opportunity to participate in:
Become an Ambassador
A variety of student recruitment events take place on the UWM campus, including Go Milwaukee and Meet Milwaukee Days for incoming freshmen, and Adult Student Information Nights for returning students.
High School Visits & College Fairs
Represent UWM at a high school or college fair in your area and share your UWM experience. You will have the opportunity to talk with prospective students and their families to answer any questions they may have. UWM visits as many as 400 high schools in a year in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota and college fairs throughout the country.
Occasionally, you may also represent UWM at a high school banquet and present an award winner with their UWM scholarship certificate.
In this phone call and letter writing campaign, be one of the first to congratulate incoming freshmen scholarship recipients and encourage them to become a part of the Panther family at UWM. Students can ask questions, preview the Panther experience, and have a chance to make a personal connection with UWM.
