I have two additional events to update you on this week:

The Ferguson Conjuncture: Why the Humanities Matter Now
On Wednesday, September 9, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Golda Meir Library 4th Floor Conference Center, George Lipsitz, University of California-Santa Barbara, will deliver a talk about race, power, #blacklivesmatter & humanities scholarship. This event is cosponsored by the Comparative Ethnic Studies Program, History Department, Africology Department, Center for Twenty-First Century Studies, Cultures and Communities Program, Urban Studies Program, and College of Letters and Science.
