December 5, 2017  |  News & Events, Sad News, Timely Announcements

Dear Colleagues,

I share with you sad news from Dean Kim Litwack in the College of Nursing.

Dr. Aaron Buseh, Professor in the College of Nursing, passed away yesterday.  Dr. Buseh had been with UWM for 16 years, teaching in the College of Nursing. Originally from Liberia, West Africa, Dr. Buseh completed graduate training in nursing and public health, with many years of experience in both nursing and public health sciences. He received his Ph.D. in Nursing Science from UWM, and is the recipient of multiple teaching, research, and alumni association awards from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Dean Litwack shared the news of Dr. Buseh’s passing with the College of Nursing late yesterday afternoon, and also shared that she has arranged for the CON student lounge (Cunningham Rm. 167) to be blocked off today, so that the College of Nursing can gather together at 10 a.m. Funeral and memorial arrangements are not yet known, but I will share that information once it is available.

This is truly sad news, our condolences to Aaron’s family and to the many others whose lives he touched.

Take care,

Johannes
