Cheryl Andres began her tenure with UWM in September 2002 as Office Manager for the Office of Legal Affairs and joined the Division of Academic Affairs in November 2008. Currently, she manages state authorization compliance for UWM Online, oversees the production of the undergraduate catalog, provides program support to the Academic Program & Curriculum Committee, and serves as campus liaison for federal lobbying reporting. Cheryl also served on the Chancellor's Ombuds Council and the Classified Staff Advisory Council.
Cheryl's background is quite diverse, including more than 20 years of progressively more responsible administrative experience. In addition to her organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, Cheryl gained international experience when she taught English as a foreign language at Erciyes Universitesi in Kayseri, Turkey.
Cheryl graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with a degree in English and Women's Studies.
