July 13, 2015  |  News & Events, Provost's Updates

Good Morning, Colleagues:

Here is this (busy) week’s update from Academic Affairs:

Budget – Campus Forum

There will be a Campus Budget Forum this Thursday at 1 p.m. in the UWM Ballroom East. Please plan to attend, but the meeting will also be livestreamed. The Budget Bill has been signed by the Governor. We will discuss amongst other items the implications for UW System and UWM.

Kudos

– Lisa Moline (Associate Professor of Art & Design) and Lane Hall (Professor of English) will be on a panel at Netroots Nation (July 16-19) titled, “Lights, Camera, Protest,” where they, along with other activists involved in the Light Brigade Network, will talk about tactical media and the role of art and spectacle in activism. They are a featured part of the Netroots Music Project 2015, which features eight panels focusing on the role of the arts in building progressive movements. Read more information about this initiative.

The Week:

Monday
