Good morning, colleagues. Here are this week’s updates from Academic Affairs.
Kudos
– Tanya Joosten, Academic Affairs, was named by D2L to be part of its inaugural EduFan Council, consisting of 50 edtech pioneers. Congratulations, Tanya!
– There was also a story over the weekend in the Journal Sentinel, highlighting the excellent work done by our American Sign Language team.
January 19-22
Tuesday
The day starts with the Deans Morning Meeting and there is a meeting on Climate and Culture that I will attend (right after the Deans’ meeting). The Chancellor’s Cabinet has its regular weekly meeting. In the afternoon, I will meet with my small staff (weekly meeting), and then the Chancellor and I will travel to the Medical College of Wisconsin for a regular meeting with Drs. Raymond and Kirschner (senior administration at MCW).
Wednesday
The day is occupied by a number of meetings with some of my direct reports. In the afternoon, there is a meeting on international student recruitment.
Thursday
I’ll attend the APBC meeting in the morning and my weekly meeting with the Chancellor in the afternoon, followed by a meeting with the President and Vice President of the Student Association.
Friday
I’ll give a welcome address at the Biomedical Engineering Retreat at Innovation Campus in the morning, followed by meetings with my direct reports. In the afternoon, I meet with Chancellor Mone and Vice Chancellor Van Harpen, followed by more direct report meetings.
