Tuesday, February 7 @ 9 a.m.

UWM Student Union, Wisconsin Room

The Chancellor invites you all to an open forum to provide feedback on the Chancellor’s Strategic Opportunities Work Group (CSOWG) draft document. A live webcast of the open forum will be available to those unable to attend in person. The video will be posted to the CSOWG website after the meeting.

Kudos

– NSF awarded funding to four UWM Electrical Engineering professors, Adel Nasiri, Lingfeng Wang, Robert Cuzner, and David Yu, to establish an I/UCRC GRid-connected Advanced Power Electronics Systems (GRAPES) center at UWM. The six founding industry members, American Transmission Company, Eaton, DRS Technologies, M-WERC, S&C Electric, and We Energies are each participating at $40K per year. The initial NSF grant is $100K/year for three years. Well done, Engineers!

Dawn Hennes, Communication Sciences and Disorders, will receive the 2017 WSHA Salutes Outstanding Service Award from the Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association for her remarkable dedication to the speech-language-hearing profession in the area of schools-based clinical education. Congratulations, Dawn!

In the news
