December 19, 2016  |  News & Events, Provost's Updates

Good morning, colleagues. Here is this week’s update from Academic Affairs as we head into winter break.

Kudos

– Congratulations to all of our new UWM graduates and thank you to faculty and staff who participated in yesterday’s graduation ceremony! Watch the video.

Bob Greenstreet was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Good show, Bob!

– UWM took first place in Nonprofit Colleges Online’s ranking of the 25 Best Online Bachelor’s in History Degree Programs. Well done!

The Week

Monday

I meet with Robin Van Harpen, I then attend part of the Academic Staff Committee meeting, followed by a regular AAUP meeting (the Chancellor and Robin Van Harpen also join). The Chancellor’s Cabinet meets later in the day. I also have my weekly staff meeting, and the Chancellor and I have a meeting with Distinguished Professors.

Tuesday

I have meetings with Val Klump, Tom Luljak, Brian Thompson, ASC Chair Rebecca Freer, and Ron Perez. I’m also stopping by the UWM Libraries holiday party.

Wednesday

I have an Integrated Shared Services executive sponsor meeting, my weekly meeting with the Chancellor, and regular meetings with Brett Peters, UC Chair John Reisel, and Michael Doylen.
