Good afternoon, colleagues. Here is this week’s update from Academic Affairs.

Kudos

– Ginny Stoffel was named to a list of 100 influential people shaping occupational therapy over the past 100 years. Congratulations, Ginny!

The Week

Monday
The SPC committee meets in the morning and Robin Van Harpen and I will attend. I also have my one-on-one meetings with Mark Harris and Robert Greenstreet. The Chancellor’s Cabinet meets in the afternoon, followed by a CEMAT meeting. Agenda items include the Student Services Workgroup, updates on the Director of Admissions/Chief Enrollment Officer search and the Director of Advising search, and the CEMAT website. In the evening, we have the Honors Commencement Ceremony.

Tuesday
I start the day with the Deans’ Meeting and my weekly staff meeting. In the afternoon, I have meetings with SOE chairs, ASL faculty and staff, Joely Urdan, and Jim Hill from Student Affairs.

Wednesday
Another day of meetings, including Pat Borger, the Chancellor’s Committee for Hispanic Student Initiatives Steering Committee, Stan Stojkovic, Tom Lipinski, and my weekly meeting with the Chancellor. The Academic Leadership Council also meets. Agenda items include FaB Wisconsin Initiative, Black and Gold Committee, Dual Enrollment, and Meta Majors.

Thursday
I’ll attend the APBC meeting, followed by meetings with John Reisel and Marija Gajdardziska-Josifovska. In the afternoon, I have meetings with Scott Emmons and Paula Rhyner, followed by a campus space planning meeting, and the Faculty Senate meeting. I’ll end the day at a reception for UWM Honorary Degree recipient Christopher Kegel at the Hefter Center.

Friday
In the morning, I meet with Ron Cisler, Kim Litwack, Peter Sands, Rodney Swain, L&S Advisors, and Tom Luljak. I’ll attend the Chancellor’s recognition luncheon for the Student Success Workgroup, followed by a campus bike ride with the UWM Police Department.

Sunday
I’ll attend UWM’s Commencement.
